Bernie Pimm Named Head Coach of 2012-13 Bantam Ottawa Senators

We are pleased to introduce Bernie Pimm as our new Head Coach for the Ottawa Senators Women’s Hockey Club Bantam AA team for the 2012-13 season.

Bernie is an Advanced 1 certified level coach and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program.

 

Bernie comes to the Ottawa area from British Columbia, where he has a vast coaching and development background in hockey.  Here are some of the teams and programs he has coached and been associated with:

 

2005-2007 : BC Hockey League, Vernon, BCAssociate Head Coach/Director of Scouting, Vernon Vipers, League Finalist, ’05 & ‘07

 

2002-2003 : WHL, Kamloops, BC
Assistant Coach, Kamloops Blazers

 

2001 – 2002 : Kamloops Minor Hockey
Head Coach, Kamloops AAA Jardine’s Bantam Blazers Finalist, Kamloops International Bantam Tournament 3rd, Western Canadian Bantam Championships  (Host)

 

1998 – 1999 : Kamloops Minor Hockey
Head Coach, Kamloops AAA Pee Wee BlazersFinalist, BCAHA Provincial Championships

Bernie also spent this time coaching Team Okanagan U-16 and U-17 Boys in BCAHA’s ‘Best Ever’ program on 5 different occasions.  He is a Certified Course Conductor-Hockey/Hockey Canada Mentor Coach and developed one of BC’s premier coach mentorship programs while in Vernon as Vernon Minor Hockey’s Director of Hockey Operations.

 

Bernie and his wife, Shannon, now reside in Kanata with their daughter and two Sons.  Bernie is the Manager of Kal Tire, Ottawa.  He and his family were transferred here in 2011 from Vernon, B.C..

 

Bernie believes that great hockey teams are “led by coaches who exemplify hard work, determination and a passion for the game”.

 

Bernie prides himself on building teams that are well prepared and fully equipped to pursue excellence on and off the ice.

 

We are very fortunate to have Bernie be a part of our program and look forward to him coming aboard.
