KGHA/OWSHC President Retires After 7 Years On The Executive
2012-01-14
It is with mixed emotions that we are announcing the retirement of Jody Thomas as President of the KGHA/OWSHC. Her long standing dedication to the KGHA and her passion for girl's hockey will be greatly missed.
The entire KGHA/OWSHC Executive would like to thank Jody, and her family, for the numerous years of dedication to the KGHA and OWSHC. Her consummate leadership enabled our association to expand and improve in every aspect. Jody's dedication to girl's/women's hockey was not limited to just the KGHA and OWSHC. She also played an integral part in Ottawa winning the bid to host the 2013 IIHF Women's Worlds.
We wish Jody well as she steps down as President and assumes the role of Past-President. While she will not be as active in the KGHA as she has been in the past, her knowledge and leadership will continue to be important to us.
As Jody transitions into the role of Past-President, we would be remiss to not also thank Kim Fillman, former President of the NCCP and current KGHA Past-President.
